♠關於田旭桐
田旭桐，1962年生於中國北京，1985年畢業於中央工藝美術學院，現任清華大學美術學院副教授，碩士生導師。自1990年起，在中國美術館、佛光祖庭大覺寺美術館、台灣千活藝術中心及美國、瑞士馬來西亞等地舉辦大型個展10餘次；參與「中國當代藝術作品展」、「第四屆亞洲美展」、「藝術與科學國際作品展」等聯展20餘次。作品廣泛被中外企業機構、博物館和個人收藏。

♦展覽介紹
「禪」一直是田旭桐創作的主要題材，但他並沒有刻意的去「畫禪」，而是將融以自身生活理念及人生修養，自然而然的表現在帶有中國文化特色的「禪意」水墨作品中。本次展覽田旭桐將以宣紙、筆、墨作為載體，以「禪」作為表現的主題，用蘊含著深厚的傳統文化意味的禪意水墨畫，傳達出中國人體驗生命的獨有方式。

♣出版
出版的個人畫集和著作有《禪—田旭桐當代水墨作品集》、《空白藝術》、《田旭桐水墨》、《東張西望-田旭桐作品集》、《半硯詩境-田旭桐詩畫集》、《旭桐畫經》等40餘冊。

ABOUT XUTONG TIAN
Tian Xutong, born in Beijing in 1962, and graduated from the Central Academy of Arts and Design ( Current Name: Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University) in 1985. He currently serves as an associate professor and master supervisor in Academy of Arts&Design, Tsinghua University. Since 1990, he has had more than 10 times of large-scale solo exhibitions in National Art Museum of China, Art Gallery of Dajue Temple Ancestral Temple of Foshan Guang Shan, Singapore HaKaren Art Gallery, Taiwan Art & Julia's Gallery, America, Switzerland, and Malaysia, etc, and has participated in more than 20 times of group exhibitions such as“Chinese Contemporary Art Exhibition”, “the 4th Asia Art Exhibition”and“Exhibition of International Works on Art and Science”, etc.His works have been widely collected by enterprises, museums and private collectors at home and abroad.

EXHIBITION INTRODUCTION
“Zen”has always been an important subject of Tian Xutong’s creation, but he does not deliberately “draw the zen” but naturally expresses his own life concept and life accomplishment in the “zen type”ink painting works with Chinese cultural characteristics. In this exhibition, Tian Xutong will take rice paper , pen and ink as the carrier and “ zen ” as the theme of expression and use the “zen” ink painting containing the profound traditional culture meaning to convey the unique way of Chinese people to experience life.

PUBLICATION
He has published over 40 kinds of personal artwork collections and books on art creating methods.《Zen》、《Strolling around》、《Embrace the nature》、《Zen Moon》、《Xu Tong Hua Jing》.
